These performance problems include:
laptop Battery is not recognized causing an "X" to appear in the battery icon in the Finder menu bar laptop Battery will not charge when computer is plugged into AC power. laptop Battery exhibits low charge capacity/runtime when using a fully charged battery with a battery cycle count (as shown in System Profiler) of less than 300. laptop Battery pack is visibly deformed.Macbook users have been issued with a software update to fix visibly deformed battery packs, among other problems
Apple has admitted that some batteries in its Macbook and Macbook Pro line of laptops have performance issues and has issued a software update to fix the problem.
Among the symptoms of batteries that are affected are swelling, the battery not being recognised or not charging, and a shorter than expected battery life.
"The factors causing the performance issues do not present a safety risk. You may continue to use your current battery," the company said.
Reports of problems, including swollen batteries, have been circulating since the laptops were launched in 2006.
In its support notes to users, Apple says battery packs which are "visibly deformed" are among the symptoms of battery problems.
The company advises users to install the update on all "MacBook and MacBook Pro computers and extra batteries that were purchased between February 2006 and April 2007".
Apple has a support site up and if your battery experiences any of these symptoms you should download the software to try and correct the problem. If the issues with the battery persist, Apple has a replacement program in place. Information on their site will guide you through this.
Despite the problems, Macbook remains a successful range for Apple. The company recently reported that sales of its portable computers rose from 498,000 to 891,000 over the 12 months to March 31, helping boost quarterly profits to $770 million (£386 million).

Motion Computing releases the smallest tablet PC

Motion Computing releases the smallest tablet PC
Motion Computing releases the LS800 as the smallest tablet PC running Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition 2005.
It has an 8.4-inch display and is less than 1 inch thick weighing 2.2 lbs. It uses the Intel Pentium® M Processor Ultra Low Voltage 753 (1.2 GHz) and the Mobile Intel® 915GMS Express Chipset. The LS800 uses the 1.8" hard drive vs the typical 2.5" you see in notebooks usually. Also, it's protected by a plated carbon-fiber chassis with metalized paint.
The LE1600 builds upon Motions history of offering best-in-class slate tablet PC design for an unsurpassed mobile computing experience, said Scott Eckert, Motion Computings CEO. After listening to our customers in the mobile workforce, we have enhanced nearly every component, feature and design element in the LE1600 to increase productivity for on-the-go users while providing enhancements in mobility, performance and security. Through our leadership in product innovation, as well as our build-to-order manufacturing model, Motion is well-positioned to increase its already-significant share of the worldwide tablet PC market.
Tablet PCs were touted by companies such as Microsoft as the future of mobile computing when products were first released in 2002. Tablets resemble notebooks but allow users to enter information on a touch-sensitive screen and to hand-write notes into certain applications. To date, shipments of the devices only represent a small fraction of the notebook PC market, according to industry market researchers. Certain industries, such as education, health care, and insurance, have shown a special interest in Tablet PCs, Clark said.
For the most part, the portable PCs have been released in two different categories. Slate devices, such as Motion's products, consist of a flat slab that lacks a keyboard. Convertible devices, released by companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba, resemble conventional notebook PCs but have a flexible screen that rotates to cover the keyboard when used in Tablet mode.
Motion is now trying to get more PC users to recognize the benefits of a Tablet PC, such as its lightweight design and its capacity for around seven hours of computing time, with an optional second battery, Clark said. Other companies are trying to lower the price of their Tablet PCs to the level of mainstream notebooks.
Most Feature-Rich Tablet Available Today
Motions LE1700 is packed with cutting-edge features and technologies; all in a lightweight, durable and ergonomic slate tablet PC.
The LE1700WT includes the exclusive Motion WriteTouch display option for the most responsive dual-mode writing and touch-screen experience on the market. With the LE1700WT, Motion is the first to bring to market automatic switching between digitiser and touch input with a simple double-tap of a finger or hover with the digitised pen to go from one mode to the other. WriteTouch accepts input from the pad of a finger or digitised pen, but will not respond to other materials or objects.
N-trigs native dual mode technology for pen and capacitive touch enables the LE1700 to set a new and superior standard for tablet usability and natural input, said Amihai BenDavid, CEO, N-trig Inc. This new technology expands the horizon for mobile computing where even the most experienced tablet users will find a dramatic change in how they interface with their system. Once again, Motion is demonstrating its vision and leadership through introduction of the LE1700 for tablet PC users.
Optimized by the tablet PC enhancements included in the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, the LE1700 will allow IT departments to use one operating system across all enterprise hardware. Vista includes additional layers of .NET integration to facilitate the development of digital ink applications. Finally, with Vista, the handwriting experience is improved for the user with a trainable Tablet Input Panel (TIP) that personalises handwriting recognition.
The LE1700 provides the enhanced computing experience mobile professionals expect, said Bill Mitchell, corporate vice president of Microsofts Mobile Platforms Division. Motions display innovations and ergonomic product design uniquely take advantage of the tablet PC and mobile computing benefits in Windows Vista.
The LE1700 is the first slate tablet PC on the market to offer Intels Core 2 Duo technology for greater than twice the CPU performance when compared to the previous generation Intel® Centrino®. Core 2 Duo increases system responsiveness when running multiple applications and extends mobility with smart battery power management.

Fujitsu just returned from exile with a claim to the biggest fastest laptop

Fujitsu just returned from exile with a claim to the <strike>biggest</strike> fastest laptop-disk throne. The showcased battery is said to be capable of recharging up to 90% of its capacity within just 10 minutes

When you think of a laptop, the last thing you would expect to excite you would be a laptop battery, unless of course you run out of juice and are nowhere near an outlet. At the recent CEATEC exhibition over in Chiba, Japan, Toshiba is showcasing a type of laptop battery that is currently being used in industrial applications, but could make long laptop recharges a thing of the past.

They are called Super Charge Ion Batteries or SCiBs for short, and have been around for a year in industrial use. But now, a laptop prototype battery, presented by Toshiba, is being showcased that features recharge rates of 90% in only ten minutes. Turns out fast recharges aren’t the only benefit, however. It seems SCiBs are also made for the long haul. Compared to typical lithium-ion batteries that will last for around 500 cycles before needing a replacements, SCiBs last 10 times longer by lasting up to 5,000 to 6,000 recharge cycles.

According to Toshiharu Watanabe of Toshiba, the "excellent performance of the SCIB will assure its successful application in industrial systems and in the electronic vehicles markets as a new energy solution". Indeed, the long-awaited Schwinn Tailwind electric bicycle will reportedly feature a SCIB battery that charges in less than 30 minutes.

We special in discount Laptop Battery Battery for Acer Battery for Apple Battery for ASUS Battery for Compaq Battery for Dell Battery for HP Battery for IBM Battery for LG Battery for Sony Battery for Toshiba with high quality

this check list may save you much frustration when buying a laptop.

If you are planning to purchase a secondhand laptop then this check list may save you much frustration. We are now seeing many secondhand laptops coming onto the market. Many of them at prices which make them most attractive as a second machine. These notes are intended as a checklist to help you avoid the proverbial lemon.
Laptop PCs may be offered for sale privately by the original owners or by dealers who have sourced a number of them from large companies. Large companies might typically update their employees' laptops after a couple of years because the units were either under lease, out of warranty or it was cheaper to purchase new laptops rather than upgrade the software to operate with the latest company office network. Buying privately is attractive, as the owner should be able to provide the original manuals and software. Buying from a reputable dealer should ensure that you get some sort of guarantee if it should fail.
Whatever the reason for the sale, there are many useful laptops available and yes there is probably a number with a problem that the previous owner is not prepared to live with, or fix.
Many of the points are self evident but to miss them beforehand might be most annoying, if not expensive later. As with any product, an honest seller with nothing to hide should not object to your giving the PC a good work over, as it should do no harm and won't even wear the tyres from a spirited test run!
Here’s a whole checklist of quick, fast facts you might want to consider before you buy your next computer. Some are very common basic computer facts you probably already know; while others deal with more recent technologies and products that you should check or be aware of when buying your new computer.
What Type of laptop? What processor: a 386, 486, Celeron, Pentium etc? As with the desktop PC the newer the processor usually the faster and better the performance, but note that contemporary tests of many laptops showed surprising differences in operating performance benchmarks among units of apparently similar specifications. A 386 may be useful for simple word processing under Win3.1, but typically such a machine would be inadequate to run WIN9x and its battery would probably be only a Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) with a shorter life compared with later battery technologies. Also early screen displays may be difficult to read in bright surroundings. A 486 with say at least 16 MB RAM could run Win9x. Later models have a faster processor that consumes more power so don't necessarily expect battery life to be far longer on the newer models. If you only want to do minor editing of documents and don't need massive processing power then a simple 486 or Pentium 100 with a couple of spare batteries and car adaptor might be ideal. Conversely if you want to listen to CDs, watch movies or demonstrate software then at least a 400 MHz (or better) processor will probably be necessary. Some laptops operate at a lower speed when running on battery to extend the battery life so be aware that performance benchmarks could vary between running on mains power or battery.
How Much RAM? Random Access Memory is temporary memory your computer uses to run applications and data on your operating system. Generally the more RAM you have, the faster your computer will run. You need at least 256MB for Windows XP and Mac OS X. You need at least 1 Gig of RAM for Windows Vista but 2 Gigs or more will make it run smoother. However, 32-bit Operating Systems ONLY recognizes up to 3GB of RAM, while you need 64-bit systems to take full advantage of 4GB of RAM.
Extended Warranty? Many manufacturers and retail stores will try to sell you extended warranties on any computer system you're considering. These warranties can be expensive so it is up to the individual buyer whether or not to purchase them. It will depend upon your own resources but if you're buying an expensive unit going with an extended warranty is a real option - especially when you consider replacement costs and the "peace of mind" such things supposedly brings.
We special in discount Laptop Keyboard such as Keyboard for Acer, Keyboard for Compaq, Keyboard for Dell, Keyboard for Fujitsu, Keyboard for Gateway, Keyboard for HP ,Keyboard for Samsung, Keyboard for Sony ,Keyboard for Toshiba online

How to do better for more laptop battery life.

For a laptop battery user, we should know Laptop Battery Basics :Take care of your laptop battery and ensure that it will be ready to work properly when you need it most. Some general tips for laptop care include: avoid extreme temperatures, don't leave a laptop outside in cold weather or leave it in a hot car. Cold batteries can't create very much power and hot batteries will discharge very quickly. Use electrical power when available to keep battery charged. Don't let your laptop go for long periods of time without using the battery.Ni-Cad (Nickel Cadmium battery), and Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride) were once highly used having 1.2 Volts per cell.Li-Ion (Lithium-ion) have now taken their place having 3.6-3.7 Volts per cell and are much more practical for today's power hungry notebooks. They have more power, higher voltage, less self drain, less weight, and can be smaller for the power you get. You will also not find the memory problems previous batteries were known for. I guess the only drawback is they're more expensive.Smart/dumb batteriesYou will find most if not all of today's notebooks use Li-Ion smart batteries. The fact that it's smart means it has circuits that report its charge level so you can estimate the battery life remaining or when it's about to run out.Batteries are over-all measured in "mAh" (Milliamps/hour) There are many things you can do to increase your battery life at the cost of performance, comfort, and features. What many will do that need to maximize their battery life for example if they're going on a trip, is get their settings in order before heading out. Here's a few things you can do:Adjust LCD brightnessMost notebooks will be set to dim the LCD automatically by default from the factory. Unplug your system to check the brightness to verify. Some will do it over a few seconds slowly so you don't notice it so you have to watch carefully. If you feel you could deal with the display being even more dimmed, then (Windows) right click your desktop background, go to "Properties", then click the "Settings" tab at the top. Click "Advanced" and you will often find your settings for brightness in there which can vary depending on the graphics chipset and software on your system. Sometimes you can find the graphics control panel or settings hot link in your lower right hand system tray depending on software.Turn it down to whatever you're comfortable with. The LCD is one of the biggest battery hogs most laptops face keeping fed.
We special in discount Laptop Battery Battery for Acer Battery for Apple Battery for ASUS Battery for Compaq Battery for Dell Battery for HP Battery for IBM Battery for LG Battery for Sony Battery for Toshiba with high quality

How to find the right notebook size for you?

How to find the right size for you?

Answer a few simple questions: What is the purpose of your notebook? They are small, cheap, under-powered, and run either an old or unfamiliar operating system.rnrnNetbooks run either Windows XP Home edition or Linux (not only is Linux unfamiliar to many, but the versions of Linux on Netbooks are not the mainstream popular distributions). They do not run XP Professional, Vista, or OS X. Microsoft arbitrarily restricts Netbooks from running the Professional Edition of Windows XP. Likewise, Apple arbitrarily restricts OS X to Apple hardware and it has never played in the low-end realm that Netbooks occupy.* Vista requires too much horsepower to run well on a Netbook. HP has been the only company to offer Vista on a Netbook. The price, however, was so high that it\'s debatable whether such a machine qualifies as a Netbook.rnrnThe market for netbooks -- small notebook PCs with even tinier prices -- exploded in the third quarter of this year, according to market researcher DisplaySearch LLC, as vendors aimed their wares at students during the back-to-school season. rnrnThe global market for netbooks, also known as mini-notebooks, was 5.61 million in the third quarter, up 160% from the second quarter, according to a statement today from DisplaySearch, an Austin-based research firm. rnrnAcer Inc. displaced Asustek Computer Inc. (Asus) as the netbook market leader for the first time during the quarter, taking 38.3% of the market, compared to 30.3% for Asus. rnrnNetbook global sales in the third quarter of 2008 hit 5.61 million units, an increase of 160% from the second quarter. Acer was at the top of the list with a 38.3% market share of all those units. With a 2008 sales level of 14 million units (over 2007\'s one million sold), the market for netbooks is still relatively small, but the growth is explosive. The question is this: how much margin are manufacturers gaining on these small-priced PCs? In the latest quarter, HP was in third place and Dell was in fifth place, but Acer and Asus are completely stealing the show. If the netbook trend follows in 2009, Acer -- the king of low retailer PC prices -- should stay on top until this fad is over.rnrn
We special in discount Laptop AC Adapter
AC Adapter for Acer
AC Adapter for Apple
AC Adapter for ASUS
AC Adapter for Compaq
AC Adapter for Dell
AC Adapter for Fujitsu
AC Adapter for Gateway
AC Adapter for HP
AC Adapter for IBM
AC Adapter for Liteon
AC Adapter for Samsung
AC Adapter for Sony
AC Adapter for Toshiba

Asus Unveils First Four N Series Laptops

All based on Intel platforms, the four N series laptops announced - the N10, N20, N50 and N80, include features like the Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) which automatically allocates power depending on computing load in order to preserve battery life, the Linux-based Express Gate operating system that can boot up in just 8 seconds, and SmartLogon, a facial recognition system that makes than fingerprint reader look like a blast from the past.
The smallest N series laptop offered by Asus, the 10-inch LCD-equipped N10 has previously been detailed :
"We pretty much knew that the Atom-powered N10 laptop won't go cheap and the price tag posted on J&R's website comes as confirmation. At $849, the N10 is the most expensive Atom-equipped machine around but the price is relatively justified as it features a LED backlit 10-inch LCD screen, 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 250GB hard drive, a secsi shiny shell, a fingerprint reader and Windows Vista Business.
In addition to those above, the N10 come with dual graphics, the integrated graphics card and a GeForce 9300M GS. Of course they won't be able to work together in a hybrid configuration but the user will have the possibility of switching between them depending on graphics needs. The N10's retail release date is still unknown but that just gives us more time to think about spending $849 on an Atom laptop. "
and it is equipped with an Atom 1.6 GHz CPU, up to 2GB of RAM and up to 320GB of storage space, a 1.3 megapixel camera, plus GeForce 9300M GS graphics. The 12.1-inch N20 and 14.1-inch N80 both make use of Core 2 Duo (T9400/P8600/P8400/P7350/T5800) processors and can be equipped with up to 4GB of RAM, 320GB of storage, a 1.3 megapixel camera and either a DVD writer or a Blu-Ray combo drive.
Also powered by Core 2 Duo CPUs, the 15.4-inch N50 has a built-in air ionizer which should freshen up the air around the user and can have a maximum of 4GB of RAM, a 500GB SATA hard drive and a 2 megapixel camera. All N series laptops can come with Windows Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business or Ultimate) pre-installed with the N10 also adding Windows XP to the mix.
We are a manufacturing representative and distributor of disount laptop parts and accessories - Laptop Battery Laptop AC Adapter Laptop Keyboard Laptop Car Charger LCD Panel

Battery Wear Estimates

Battery Wear Estimates
Hardware utility applications such as Notebook Hardware Control can estimate the amount of wear your notebook’s battery has experienced. Many are alarmed when their two-week-old battery registers a 16% battery-wear-level. Understandably, they are concerned that their battery is dying and will not be useful for long. Unless you were given an older battery with your new system, you can take those alarmingly high figures with a grain of salt.

Unless the application you are using was designed with the exact specifications of your notebook and battery, it is a generic program that estimates battery wear levels. There are countless variables that can affect the outcome of this estimate (notebook-specific configurations, BIOS and software settings, battery specifications, etc.). The utility can not possibly communicate perfectly with every notebook system and battery model available, so it takes what information it can and calculates its best guess. To give you an idea of how inaccurate these figures can be, my five month-old battery has 0% battery wear according to Notebook Hardware Control.
<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; The new models added to the Qosmio X305 line use hybrid SLI to use the integrated NVIDIA 9400M GPU during non-frenetic video use (i.e., not gaming), and switches to the dual NVIDIA 9800M GTS GPUs for ultra-FPS performance.
The combined efforts of both companies resulted in Toshiba's most powerful gaming laptop to date featuring the new highly integrated GeForce® 9400M graphics processing unit (GPU) along with a pair of NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS enthusiast-class GPUs.That laptop must be very cool for gaming. But how can they deal with the heat?
When Toshiba set out to reset the bar for high performance gaming laptops and revamp its flagship gaming line, the company turned to NVIDIA for its expertise in visual computing. The combined efforts of both companies resulted in Toshiba's most powerful gaming laptop to date featuring the new highly integrated GeForce® 9400M graphics processing unit (GPU) along with a pair of NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS enthusiast-class GPUs. The Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706, the first pair of laptops to incorporate three powerful NVIDIA GPUs, gives users a choice between maximum performance and quiet operation.
“We wanted to deliver an extreme-performance gaming machine that gives gamers a complete, non-compromising system in a laptop form factor,” said Carl Pinto, vice president of product development, digital products division for Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. “The combination of the NVIDIA GPUs and chipset allowed us to achieve a high level of performance, quality and flexibility that our customers are asking for, at a competitive starting price of $1,999.”

We are a manufacturing representative and distributor of disount laptop parts and accessories - Laptop Battery Laptop AC Adapter Laptop Keyboard Laptop Car Charger LCD Panel

Introducing The New 13-inch MacBook for you.

The New MacBook Do everything faster. With a first-of-its-kind integrated graphics processor that delivers up to five times the performance in half the size, MacBook changes the game—and just about everything else you do on a notebook. The new MacBook makes quick work of iLife, iWork,** and all your applications, so you can skim through photos, edit movies, and create websites and presentations with ease.
Graphics is just the beginning. With its precision aluminum unibody enclosure and fewer parts than ever, the MacBook is thinner, greener, and more durable. The ultrathin LED-backlit display offers spectacular detail and instant full screen brightness. And the new Multi-Touch trackpad provides more room for clicking and Multi-Touch gestures.
Until now, all notebooks were designed the same way. By assembling multiple pieces to create a single enclosure. But once you include all the necessary parts, you add size, weight, complexity, and more opportunities for failure. Solving a problem like this required more than an incremental change. It required a breakthrough. To create the new MacBook, the design and engineering teams devised a way to replace many parts with just one. That one part is called the unibody — a seamless enclosure carved from a single piece of aluminum.
Explore all the design innovations of the new MacBook.
The thickness of a notebook depends on the technology inside. LCD displays typically use cold cathode fluorescent lamps, or CCFLs, to create light and project a picture onto a screen. But that poses two problems. First, these lamps require more space, so the display can be only so thin. Second, just like the fluorescent lights in your home or office, the ones inside a CCFL display take time to warm up before they reach full brightness. That’s a lose-lose situation. And it’s why Apple engineers chose LED backlight technology for the new MacBook.
The MacBook keyboardThey made a couple of changes to the keyboard as well. The main one is now the keyboard is back lit so now you can type in the dark with no problems. I just got a MacBook a couple of months ago I wish i knew they where coming out with a new model with a backlit. before this the only mac that lit up was the Apple MacBook Pro.
The new Multi-Touch trackpadIts now just one Smooth peace if etched glass with no button thats pretty cool
Up to 5x faster NVIDIA graphics performance. The new MacBooks have a new NVIDIA graphics card. The NVIDIA GeForce 9400M is great for high-end, high-speed 3D game-playing power. Not sure why this one is better then the old one the did not say much about it. what they did say is its 5x faster.
Over all its a very nice Laptop I want one. I love the MacBook Pro’s aluminum case and now you can get the aluminum case in the MacBook. If you want to high end MacBook its $1,599.00 If you want the low end MacBook Pro its $1,999.00. I guess thats a big price difference.

We are a manufacturing representative and distributor of disount laptop parts and accessories - Laptop Battery Laptop AC Adapter Laptop Keyboard Laptop Car Charger LCD Panel

Ericsson and Intel will jointly launch the most advanced notebook anti-theft technology

Ericsson and Intel will jointly launch the most advanced notebook anti-theft technology Notebook computer data security has always been the most important business customers is a major feature one of the ways to strengthen technology research firms each have spared no effort in one of the key tasks. Ericsson and Intel recently announced co-operation between the two will jointly launch the most advanced notebook anti-theft technology, when lost or stolen notebook after notebook users can remotely lock and tracking.
It is reported that, when Ericsson's mobile broadband module (3.5G HSPA) will be integrated into the notebook, and Intel's "PC anti-theft protection technology" (Anti-Theft PC Protection Technology) combined. As a result, lost in the post-notebook users to send text messages directly to mobile broadband notebook computer chips, chips to lock to receive information immediately passed to the Intel AT-P function can be locked for the other; once the notebook was recovered, again as long as Send text messages to unlock the notebook.
In addition to these, Ericsson's mobile broadband module also joined the GPS function, when the laptop was stolen after the user can also carry GPS global positioning and find the location of the notebook.
According to Ericsson revealed that the load-to-date anti-theft technology Centrino 2 notebooks will be introduced in the second half of 2009.
With the mobile broadband notebooks with more and more profit through the theft of an increasing number of cases, these notebooks provide anti-theft protection has become increasingly necessary, such anti-theft protection of the business market is very broad. For businesses or consumers, if lost or stolen notebook could cause significant economic losses, of which the sensitive data is particularly important.
Through the provision of Ericsson's mobile broadband module, sent on the network security management services to the mobile broadband module can send information, the module will be able to receive messages sent to Intel's anti-theft feature on the system. Then, based on Intel's notebook anti-theft technology will automatically adopt the appropriate measures, or lock the computer so that it can not be used. Once the notebook was to restore and re-positioning, will be issued to unlock the information so that the notebook will work again.
Editor point of view: It sounds a good anti-theft technology, but details still think there are some loopholes. On the one hand, the so-called GPS positioning system, once the notebook into the indoor environment or the basement will be very difficult to be found, the GPS is not a bad idea, but there will be a very practical use. On the other hand, the mobile phone text messages through mobile broadband modules for long-range lock, to break up is simple, as long as the thief inserted in the notebook on the SIM card out on the Shashi not, then this so-called anti-theft technology becomes A display.

We are a manufacturing representative and distributor of disount laptop parts and accessories - Laptop Battery Laptop AC Adapter Laptop Keyboard Laptop Car Charger LCD Panel

How to Get a New Laptop Computer

How to Get a New Laptop Computer

? (South Africa well-known retailers notebook) Forelli CEO Christopher (Christopher Riley), said a few days ago, in the notebook computer running Vista will lead to a lot of technical problems.
The biggest problem is the driver, a lot of accessories there is no corresponding driver.
Riley said: "The driver was looking into the issue. So far, at least three Acer notebooks because the drive that can not run normal."
In addition, downloaded from the Internet is driving a very troublesome thing. To download a Acer notebook drive, 600 megabytes will need to download a software package. The financial software vendor Pastel recently uploaded a 3G-sized Vista drivers.
In addition, the notebook is installed on the Mcafee and Norton Anti-Virus software problems. Riley said: "I think the current notebook users should use the XP system until Microsoft releases Vista SP1."
Just after Vista was first released to consumers on Jan. 30, 2007, an article in the Windows Secrets Newsletter explained that the upgrade edition of the operating system could be installed on a "clean" hard drive. For whatever reason, Vista had been programmed to accept itself as a "qualifying product." This eliminated any need for users to purchase the full edition of Vista or to upgrade Vista only over an older instance of Windows.
The Feb. 1, 2007, article by Windows Secrets editorial director Brian Livingston explained that the procedure is supported by several built-in dialog boxes. This indicates that the trick had been deliberately included by Vista's developers.
To boost the sales of retail packages, Microsoft announced just over one month ago significant price cuts in Vista, beginning with Service Pack 1. The savings over the old prices vary among different Vista versions, such as Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate. In the U.S., the list price of the upgrade edition is at least $100 cheaper than the full edition. Smaller savings exist in other markets, such as Canada and the European Union, as shown in the table below.
The price reductions on the Service Pack 1 version of Vista are even more significant because the upgrade trick still works in SP1, rendering unnecessary the purchase of Vista's full edition.

We are a manufacturing representative and distributor of disount laptop parts and accessories - Laptop Battery Laptop AC Adapter Laptop Keyboard Laptop Car Charger LCD Panel

HP company released a new generation of server virtualization

HP has released a new generation of virtual chemical industry standard servers, rack-mounted involving HP ProLiant DL165G5, ProLiant DL 185G5, ProLiant DL 365G5, ProLiant DL 385G5p, ProLiant DL 585G5, ProLiant DL 785G5, as well as blade servers ProLiant BL465c G5 and ProLiant BL 495c G5 all-round upgrade.
The escalation of a new generation of products using AMD's new 45nm quad-core AMD Opteron 2300 Series processor (code-named "Shanghai").
The new HP ProLiant server virtualization and energy-saving significant advantages to low-cost, high efficiency, low energy, IT users to further reduce the system total cost of ownership while increasing return on IT investment, assisted by business users faster growth.

How to Increase your Laptop & Notebook Battery Power

The actual life of a laptop battery will vary with computer usage habits. In a survey by chipmaker Intel, 57% of laptop users said they wished their batteries lasted longer
Depending upon the model, a notebook battery usually lasts from 1 to 8 hours. However, with efficient battery usage, an hour or two of battery power can significantly be increased. You can save battery power by using the built-in battery saving modes and by following good notebook battery-saving practices.
Built-in battery-saving modes are Stand By and Hibernate. In the Stand By mode, open applications are stored in the RAM, the hard disks power down, the monitor switches off, but the processor goes on running. When you again perform some activity of the mouse or the keyboard, then the hard disk powers up, the monitor switches on, and the data from the RAM is activated, restoring your notebook exactly the way you left it.
Here are some tips to extend the life of your laptop battery:
1. Power down the display
Lowering the brightness may give you as much as an extra hour of runtime. And to increase even more the lifetime of your battery lower the screen resolution and color depth. This will decrease the workload on the GPU, thus extending the battery runtime.
To change this settings follow the steps below:
a. Open the Windows Start menu and click the Control Panelb. Open the Display menuc. In the new window click the Appearance tab. Under the Advanced button you can disable extra features like ClearType fonts and fade effects which will cut down on the CPU’s power consumptiond. Now go to the Settings tabe. Here adjust the color depth to 16 bit. This is more than enough in office and internet applications.
2. Turn off unused devices
Many new notebooks provide a hard-wired On/Off switch for the Wi-Fi radio for this reason. To save even more power go to the Control Panel, select System-->Hardware-->Device Manager, and disable the following items: Ethernet adapter, infrared transceiver, and Bluetooth radio . You should do this beacause having Bluetooth enabled and not using it actually consumes quite a bit of power.
3. Decrease hard drive activity
Defragmenting your hard drive regularly will decrease the frecuency with which your hard disk has to spin, therefore the battery will last longer. This is due to the fact that defragmentation optimizes the placement of the data on the drive and when a program makes a request for certain data it can be found more quickly.
To defragment your hard disk follow the steps in this article.
Another way to decrease hard drive activity is to set your paging file to a fix value, and this value should be around 1.5 times the amount the RAM you have installed on your computer.
To set the paging file go to the Control Panel and click through System -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory Change.
4. Disable startup items
Startup items are programs that load into memory every time Windows boots up and cause other open applications to spill over virtual memory and adds to the CPU load, shortening battery runtime. Here is how to remove some of them that are not necessary.
5. Condition the battery
Battery memory is where the battery becomes conditioned to run for less time than it is designed to run. Say for example, you run your computer on battery for an hour and then you plug it back in to let it recharge. The battery will become conditioned to run only an hour before it runs out of juice.

We offer Discount Laptop Parts - Laptop Battery Laptop AC Adapter Laptop Keyboard Laptop Car Charger LCD Panel

computer education online

Today, internet become a important part of our life. we can do many things such as shopping, making friends and even studyinig online. The lithium-ion batteries that HP will offer can Save the Environment and Last for 3 years and Safer as an option on its Enviro Series notebooks can be recharged a thousand times and deliver an 80 percent charge in 30 minutes. Boston Power says the environmentally friendly batteries are also safer and can replace existing batteries.
A fast-charging laptop battery that promises to last at least three years without any degradation in performance is coming to the market as an option with Hewlett-Packard laptops. The Sonata battery is the product of three years of development work by Boston-Power and will be rebranded by HP as the "Enviro" battery and offered from early 2009 with select machines.

The battery can be charged to 80 per cent of capacity in 30 minutes, which could be useful for travellers who only have a limited amount of time near an electric outlet, and will go 1,000 charges before the battery's capacity begins degrading. That's a charge a day for three years -- or four years if it's only used on weekdays -- so it should last the average life of a business laptop. Common laptop batteries today start to degrade after 300 charges.
"It brings a new level of performance to the market," said Christina Lampe-Onnerud, founder and CEO of Boston-Power in an interview.
Boston Power's lithium-ion battery can be recharged a thousand times compared to conventional batteries that can be recharged only 300 times, according to Frost & Sullivan, a consulting company.
The Sonata battery can also achieve an 80 percent charge in 30 minutes and a full charge in one hour without degrading cell performance, according to the company. Batteries currently on the market typically take as much as one hour to reach 80 percent power in a fast-charge cycle that can degrade cell performance by 60 to 80 percent within 300 charge cycles.
HP will back up its longer-life promise with a 3-year warranty and the battery will cost an extra US$20 to $30 over a standard model. Users will be able to select it with certain machines during the customization phase of ordering. It will initially only be available in North America but HP plans to offer it in other markets later.
Lampe-Onnerud first unveiled the Sonata battery at the Demo 2007 conference and the company has spent the last two years developing the technology and preparing for mass-production. Most of the batteries will be made by Taiwan's GP Batteries while some will come from HYB Batteries in China.
At the time of its launch at Demo it was endorsed by Hewlett-Packard and the two companies have been working together ever since so HP's move as the first major customer for Boston-Power isn't a surprise.
Looking ahead the company is hoping to pick up addition laptop vendors as customers as well as break into other industries including consumer electronics and transportation, said Lampe-Onnerud.

I am special in the latest and valuable computer technology studying. Click here to see more Laptop Computer technology and news

Spam Blocker - Keep Your Laptop Computer Safeedit delete

Spam is the bane of small businesses’ existence. It can not only bring viruses onto your network, but it can take over your computers and send spam to other computers. Spam Blocker enables administrators to block spam at the gateway before it ever reaches the users.
Many computer user install spam blockers or filters on their computer to help them get rid of unwanted email. These programs work by either blocking certain email addresses or filtering what is believed to be spam into another file in the email program. As spam is always changing, spam blockers and filters do not always work in getting rid of every piece of spam and sometimes real messages are blocked accidentally.
A spam blocker can use several different ways of trying to protect a computer. The first type is blacklists, where the email addresses and domain names of spammers are blocked. This system is not considered to be very effective since spammers can easily get around the system and there may be a number of legitimate emails blocked.
Another type of spam blocker is collaborate blacklists. With this type, users identify spammers and a centralized system creates a list of email addresses that users have labeled as spammers. Sometimes legitimate newsletters and other emails get blacklisted when enough individuals label them as spam instead of unsubscribing themselves.
A final type of spam blocker is a whitelist. In this system, a user sets up the email and domain addresses that he will accept email from. When an unknown email sends a message, it is blocked. The system can be labor intensive as the user must manually set up the accepted emails.
Some whitelists use an extension which sends a response back to email addresses asking them to confirm their identity. This helps identify real emails, while weeding out spammers who won’t reply. Newsletters can also get caught in this system so users need to make sure that they manually confirm all newsletters or promotional emails that they want.
Although spam blockers present some challenges in that they sometimes let spam through and sometimes block legitimate emails, they are currently some of the best ways to identify and prevent spam. Advances will continue to occur as individuals, companies, and governments work to create better ways of protecting inboxes from spam.
A spam blocker is an important tool for every computer user, even though the system remains imperfect. Spam blockers will help save you time and help protect your computer from harmful viruses.
And it impacts you in other ways. Unlike regular broadband, not all providers charge a flat fee. In fact, many mobile broadband providers charge by the megabyte, and for someone who is very active with their laptop, that can certainly add up. If that is your situation, you want to make sure you find a mobile broadband provider that charges a flat fee based on your specific amount of usage.
Although mobile broadband is certainly a good choice for many people who travel frequently away from home or simply need to use a laptop in areas here there is no landline, it is no substitute for a stable broadband connection. A search of some providers that offer flat monthly fees shows that one can obtain a mobile broadband connection for as low as £10.00 per month, the connection speed tends to be under 3 Mb. If you are looking to complete something in a hurry, you certainly will not be able to do so with mobile broadband.
Those who are unfamiliar with mobile broadband may ask how you use mobile broadband technology. Certainly everyone is familiar with the concept of accessing the internet using your mobile phone, but in order to have a broadband connection, you have to have a special PC card that fits into your laptop or you need a USB modem. Some people tend to stay away from the USB modem because of its tendency to project from the side of the laptop.
Mobile broadband is a step in the right direction from dial-up, but you have to make sure you choose the right provider for your needs. If you do a great deal of work when you are away from any landline connection, you may want to choose Vodaphone which has a speed of 7.2 Mb. Though still not quite as fast as standard broadband, it is comparable to the cheapest plan on O2 at 8 Mb.
If you are a regular laptop user, it's essential to make certain you choose a mobile broadband provider that offers a reasonable rate with a higher speed. This is especially true when you are working online instead of just surfing the internet because if you can't connect quickly, it is not going to benefit your business contacts and connections for you to use a mobile broadband service. The mobile broadband provider you choose should be able to accommodate your needs for pricing and speed.
I am special in the latest and valuable laptop computer’s technology and news, Click here to see more laptop computer’s technology and news

How to Increase your Laptop Battery Power.

How to Increase your Laptop Battery Power.
As we known, a laptop battery is very important for laptop computer, for a new laptop battery we can use about 7 hours. but when it used for some times.the power lost more and more. at last, we would replace a new battery for our computer. the fact is that we can Increase your laptop Battery Power, That is easy, just usethe built-in battery saving modes and by following good notebook battery-saving practices.
The Hibernation mode is used when the notebook is left unattended for a long time. The open applications are stored on the hard disk, which subsequently powers down, the monitor turns off, and the processor turns off going in for hibernation. On soft rebooting like a restart or wake up on LAN, the processor turns on, the laptop wakes up, and the same exact settings are restored. Both these modes should be used to conserve battery power. You can preset your preferences in the settings of your notebook, so that in case you doze off, or leave the device for a coffee or a snack, the notebook automatically goes into any one of these power saving modes.
Following battery-saving practices can also save notebook battery power. You should always adjust the monitor controls to suit the room lighting conditions. Dimming the contrast and brightness saves battery power besides providing relief to your eyes. Auto-save and auto-update features of applications start in the background without your knowledge and these should be disabled. External devices consume a lot of battery power, hence the usage of external mice, monitors, keyboards, optical drives, videocam, digital cameras, or any other device connected to the PC Card slot, VGA/ FireWire/ USB port should be avoided.
Increase the RAM memory, if an extra slot is available, as this puts fewer burdens on the hard disk, which consumes a lot of battery power. Avoid multimedia games while you are running your notebook on battery power. Similarly, avoid music or movies. Copy the CD/DVD on the hard disk and play it from there, instead of the optical drive. Disable WiFi and Bluetooth. Built-in wireless cards should also be disabled. Decrease or set to mute the notebook speaker volume. Turn off all preprogrammed scheduled tasks. All unused open applications should be closed. The general guideline is that when your notebook is on battery power, you should perform only such operations, which are the need of the hour. Rest of the applications can be performed, when your notebook is connected to the mains.
Keeping good care of the battery also prolongs its life. To maximize performance of nickel-metal hydride batteries, they have to be completely drained off before they are recharged. However, lithium-ion batteries do not need cycling/ conditioning, and they do not suffer from memory effects. Hence, they need not be fully drained off before recharging. When the notebook is not in use for an extended period, the battery pack should be removed to avoid battery leakage. Before removing the battery pack, you should charge it fully and then remove it, as all kinds of batteries should always be stored in a fully charged state. Do not store your battery pack along with metal parts, as this will short-circuit your battery.
Utilizing the built-in battery saving options and other means, you can significantly add one to three hours more in the total capacity of your notebook battery. Sometimes, in critical situations, like an important meeting, this extra hour of notebook battery power can help you clinch your desired deal.
More Laptop Computer Information

How to protect your computer from virus?

How to protect your computer from virus?

Today, more and more people use laptop computer for their work and daily life. we do business online, download movie and music online, and also make friends with others online. so computer becomes a important part of our life. but along those benefit. there are some harmful things such as Viruses and spyware online which are dangerous to our computers.
so how to protect our computer from virus is very important.
Either they invade your system with a frontal assault like the Huns attacking the Romans, or they sneak in a back door like a cat burglar.
Either way, once a virus or piece of spyware gets on your system, getting it off can rate harder than curing a severe case of trench foot!
Viruses, malicious programs designed to disrupt normal computing, and spyware, programs intended to literally "spy" on your activities, can enter your computer a number of ways.
Most commonly they enter your system through an email attachment, by sharing files with an infected computer by disk, as a "ride along" with a 3rd party program you install, or through a "back door" port in your computer.
Regardless of how they get on your system, once in place, they cause no end of headaches and frustration.
The following represent typical signs you may suffer from infection by a virus or piece of spyware.
Your computer starts acting oddly by doing things it never did previously.
Your modem starts trying to dial out to the Internet without you initiating a surfing session.
You notice that files start disappearing, the system stalls, and runs slowly, or even crashes frequently.
Your computer takes progressively longer to boot up every time you start it or you notice that your available hard drive space has disappeared. Strange popup windows appear, even when you're not surfing the web, or you delete a program and it "magically" reappears next time you boot the system.
If you suspect you a virus or a piece of spyware has invaded your computer, follow these steps to first identify and then delete the offending code:
Step 1 - Back up your important files, but remember to scan these files for viruses before reinstalling to avoid accidentally re-infecting your system.
Step 2 - Update your anti-virus definitions and perform a scan of your hard drive.
If you don't carry virus protection, or you suspect your anti-virus software got corrupted somehow, then log on to www.pandasoftware.com and use the free Panda Active Scan service to check your hard drive for viruses.
Follow the instructions for quarantining and removing the offending files.
Step 3 - Scan your hard drive with an adware, scum ware, or spyware detection and removal tool like Adaware www.lavasoft.de/support/download/ or Spybot http://spybot.safer-networking.de/.
Step 4 - In many cases, when the virus or spyware program gets installed with a free utility or game you download from the Web, you must usually uninstall the utility or game to finally get rid of the problem once and for all.
Step 5 - Avoid re-infection by keeping your anti-virus and firewall up-to-date at all times.
As a last resort, if you run into a program you simply can't get rid of, but can figure out the offending file's name, do a search for the file name on Google.com. Often you will find you're not the first victim and may get valuable advice for cleaning up your system.
However, be very careful of the information you find and think twice before modifying any system files. click here to see more laptop information

the latest laptop computer news and technology.

the latest laptop computer news and technology.
